New York 1955 EDP, 100ml
by 4160 Tuesdays
Like a history lesson in aromatic form, this unique fragrance uses only ingredients that were available in post-war New York, a time of unrivalled optimism. Redolent of a downtown milk bar through its use of notes such as candyfloss, raspberry and vanilla; musk and ambergris give it a final addictive quality.
It was clean and fresh – very sweet; parma violets and talcum powder, but perhaps smelled a little juvenile. The design of the bottle would fit well in a handbag and the scent lasted throughout the day.
